The motive behind taking up the topic was to clear the confusion – why one needs an entire knowledge area for change control and management? It is very important to understand that Change is something that’s continuously happening so it needs to be monitored and controlled.

To begin with, Change is something that’s inevitable, as we have already stated, it’s an ongoing activity. This implies that we need to rein it in and regularize it in a specific order. PMBOK® Guide Sixth Edition has dedicated an entire process to Integrated Change Control. There are several channels that communicate Change Requests to the project, like a customer for scope change, sponsor for cost change, human resource department for any resource replacement.
The Webinar was focused on the flow of Change Request and Change Request Management. The entire session was interactive and interesting since most of the participants raised queries and were duly responded.
