The Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Exam is based on the PMP Exam Content Outline (ECO) published by PMI. The ECO provides a comprehensive list of tasks expected to be executed by a Project Manager. These tasks are further elaborated by enablers, which describe the tools and artifacts that can assist in performing the tasks. As these tasks are essential for project managers, they form the foundation of the PMP Exam.

PMP Exam Domains and Their Weightages

PMI has organized these tasks into three categories, each with a specific weightage in the exam. These categories, called Domains, are as follows:

The Exam Content Outline (ECO) tasks can be executed using Predictive, Adaptive, or Hybrid approaches. The exam will consist of 50% questions from the Predictive approach and 50% questions focusing on task execution using Adaptive or Hybrid approaches.

The PMP Exam comprises 180 questions that must be answered within 230 minutes. For PMP Practice Test, we recommend targeting a completion time of 200 minutes.
