In this blog, I am sharing steps to report PDUs against an activity code. Reporting PDUs against an activity code is easy. If you are not aware this blog will make it intuitive.

Let’s start with a brief of Activities help in earning PDUs:

Courses or training provided by REPs (Registered Education Providers) are the most popular way to earn PDUS. Each of these programs gets listed at PMI Education Directory with Activity Code and Description. PMI also ensures that these activities get mapped well to the Talent Triangle as per the guidelines. For rest of the blog when I say Activity it means a program which is approved by PMI and Activity Code, a code associated with the program. Many of REP write this code in the corner of the certificate, and when you attend online or classroom program, the REP may share activity code as a program completion.

After course completion and once you have Activity Code, you never have to worry about mapping these activities to the PMI Talent Triangle. While reporting PDUS, PMI will take care of it.

Note: You can earn all of your PDUs against an Activity Code if you like to enhance knowledge by participating programs and activities.

Now come on the steps to report PDUs against activities. Steps are simple to follow:

  1. After login to the PMI website, go to your Dashboard.
  2. From the Dashboard, select ‘Report PDUs’
  3. Next select “Course or Training” under Education category
  4. On the “Course or Training” screen – Fill details of Provider, Activity, Date Started, Date Completed.
Description of activity, URL, Contact Person, Contact Phone, and Contact Email are optional details.
  5. Upon providing Activity Code, you will see that PDUs automatically populated in the relevant category of Talent Triangle.
  6. Finally, Submit the PDU claim after clicking on “I agree this claim is accurate”.
