DALSM Certification Process
- Step 1 : Attend the DALSM Online Certification session. And become Disciplined Agilist (DA).
- Step 2: You need to pass the Certified Disciplined Agilist (CDA) online exam.
- Step 3: After passing the exam, you will earn the certification of Certified Disciplined Agilist (CDA).
- Step 4: To earn the DALSM you will need at least 2 years with hands-on Team Leadership experience including being a Scrum Masters, Product Owner, or Architect Owner.
- Step 5: Once your information has been received, the team will verify your experience.
- Step 6: After successful verification, you will receive the DALSM Certification through email.

A.Disciplined Agile is a hybrid approach or a context-sensitive approach that can be applied at the enterprise level, and not limited to the team for agility. It considers various possible challenges that organizations might be working with i.e. the organization’s business model. It also provides a collection of options and good ideas which one can select from and by that one can create their context-sensitive enterprise-level ways of working framework.

A.In Disciplined Agile, the coaches and stakeholders come together and create their own framework with the help of existing tools and techniques in the organization. Below are a few key points that make Disciplined Agile unique.
Q. Disciplined Agile is a good framework for scaling?
A.Yes, it’s a scaling framework. Disciplined Agile gives you all the tools and techniques at horizontal and vertical scaling for targeting the Business Agility. In vertical scaling, it helps you doing governance and portfolio management at an enterprise level. It also helps you in achieving Business Agility. In horizontal scaling, it helps you work with multiple teams and do coordination, planning, etc at an organizational level. Q. How can you select the right certification?
A.Disciplined Agile Lean Scrum Master, i.e. DALSM class comes in three formats – 2 days, 3 days, and 4 days. It covers 4 topics i.e. Lean fundamentals, Agile fundamentals, Disciplined Agile fundamentals, and choosing your WOWs. Professionals who have an understanding of Lean and Agile may take the 2 days program which is the minimum for all. After attending 2 days program, you get a Disciplined Agilist certificate and you become eligible to give the exam. If you pass that exam within a month, then you get certified as a Certified Disciplined Agilist. After CDA, you get multiple options to go forward without attending the class. So, if you achieve CDA, and have already done PMI-ACP from a PMI then you can directly upgrade your CDA to CDAP i.e Certified Disciplined Agile Practitioner. If you haven’t done PMI-ACP then you can apply by demonstrating your Agile experience, they have a particular format and once they approve it then you may upgrade to a CDAP.

Q. Who should do this DALSM course?
A. This course is ideal for a person who understands the fundamentals of Agile and Lean and has practical experience of applying them in the organization. And also for one who is experienced with Agile and who would like to move their career to the next level.
Q. How is this DALSM training delivered?
A. This is a virtual program that is delivered via a webinar platform (Zoom). Once you enroll, you will receive an email with session details. The session recording will be available to the participants for review, but it’s mandatory to attend all live sessions to earn the certification. Our trainer Saket Bansal’s Disciplined Agile Lean Scrum Master sessions are highly interactive, with a lot of discussions and exercises to help participants improve their skills.
Q. What will be the examination process?
A.It will be a closed book exam with 50 questions. The time limit will be 60 minutes. You will not be able to go back to previously answered questions.

Q. How are questions set out for the test?
A.There are two ways for awarding marks based on the type of question:
- True-false questions
- Multiple-option questions
You will be awarded one point for each correct answer, zero for an incorrect answer.
Q. Is there any sample test available online?
A.Yes, the sample test is available on our website. There will be 10 questions in the sample test. Answers will be available at the back of the test. The marking sheet will be there to help you calculate your score along with the detailed description of how your score will be calculated. We recommend you print the PDF, take the test and then calculate your score.

Q. How many marks are required to pass the exam?
A.It is compulsory to achieve 70% i.e. 35 marks out of 50 marks to clear the exam.
Q. Is this lifetime certification?
A.This DALSM certification is with a free first-year membership. After that, you need to renew it with a $50 USD annual renewal fee. Also, 7 hours of professional development (minimum 5 DA hours) required each year, such as workshops or webinars to renew the DALSM Certification.
Q. How prestigious is the DALSM Certification?
A.In today’s Agile environment, the importance of credentials varies greatly. Some certifications can be obtained simply by taking an online exam, others are issued by taking a course of two days, and by completing a specific examination.
